The daily joys and challenges of raising children with autism are as unique as the children themselves. Often, the most meaningful support comes from another parent who truly understands the journey. Recognizing this deep need for community, Optism proudly launches its newest feature: Parents Forum, a dedicated online community for families of autistic children in Hong Kong and across Asia.

Supported by the SIE Fund, Oxfam Hong Kong, and incubated by Oxfam's Grant For Good, Parents Forum offers a safe, anonymous space for parents and caregivers to connect, share, and build lasting networks of support. It’s a vital part of Optism’s mission to provide holistic autism resources for families in Asia, addressing both practical needs and emotional wellbeing.

What is Optism's Parents Forum?

Parents Forum is more than just a message board. It’s a carefully designed platform for parents and caregivers of autistic children to freely and anonymously share their experiences. Built on empathy and understanding, this is a space where families can exchange tips, share their stories, and celebrate their children’s milestones.

As Carmen, Founder of Optism explains:

Parents have told us their most profound insights often came from casual conversations with other families. We created Parents Forum to replicate that powerful, informal network of autism family support and make it accessible to everyone.

Why Join Optism's Parents Forum?

The Parents Forum is designed to help families connect, support one another, and navigate life with autism together. It offers a unique mix of:
